These general guidelines lay down the principles for collection, processing and use of personal data within the Harju Elekter Group (hereafter referred to as ‘Harju Elekter’).

Collection and use of personal data

Harju Elekter collects personal data (e.g. name, Swedish personal identity number, email address, phone number, bank details) that has been voluntarily given in connection with the providing of services, including business transactions with customers and the delivery of goods (e.g. inquiries, orders, complaints, applications and information submitted via the website or in salesrooms). Harju Elekter also collects contact information from business cards that have been received in business contexts.

If you visit our offices or salesrooms, you can appear in the field of view of our security cameras, the purpose of which is to protect individuals and property.

Purpose of processing personal data

Harju Elekter’s purpose in the collection and use of personal data is to give our clients access to information and services from any of the companies of the Harju Elekter Group or from a third party approved by Harju Elekter. Above all, Harju Elekter uses your personal data to fulfil, improve, and tailor the company’s commitments, products, and services, manage subscriptions and customer relationships and provide you with marketing and direct marketing both via post and digitally.

Sharing of personal data

In order to fulfil the purposes stated above, your personal data will be shared with all of the companies in the Group. We also share your personal data with service providers and partner companies to the extent necessary for operating Harju Elekter (IT, marketing, and ancillary services) and to improve the quality of our services. We will also share your personal data if we are required by law or we believe that access, storage, or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Harju Elekter.


Harju Elekter also collects personal data about subscribers through our newsletter. We collect the personal data that the subscriber themselves provides – email address and, in the cases in which the subscriber chooses to do so, their first and last names. We also collect data regarding how subscribers use our newsletters. We use the submitted personal data in order to be able to fulfil our contract to send newsletters to subscribers.

Harju Elekter stores your personal data for the duration of your business relationship with Harju Elekter, and your personal data is stored for the minimum amount of time that is necessary to achieve the goal of their collection, protect the rights of Harju Elekter, and fulfil our obligations under law.
