Study visit to Stockholm Metro station
Harju Elekter has supplied 15 rectifier stations to the Stockholm Metro organization, SL, and number 15 in line is currently being installed. With the work under way, Harju Elekter has been taking the opportunity to show off the station to partners and suppliers.
The Metro station is Albano. It is equipped with a 33 kV SNC air insulated cassette switchgear, a rectifier transformer, a 750 DC switchgear, and an SEBVision SCADA system in a control cabinet. Also, a low voltage battery cabinet and VUC switchgear in our own Elcover execution.
During the showing, Thomas Andersson, Technical Manager, Harju Elekter AB, emphasized the importance of being able to handle the complete project, a capability that has become one of Harju Elekter’s competitive advantages. “We take sole responsibility for project management, design, engineering, and commissioning,” says Thomas. “We see that this is increasingly important for many customers in a market where a growing number of companies prefer to deliver products instead of complete projects.”
According to some comments, visitors experienced the SNC switchgear as reliable and safe. With almost 600 compartments delivered, the solution is well-proven in Sweden. SEBVision, Harju Elekter’s own SCADA system, also aroused interest among visitors. Likewise of interest, was the fact that Harju Elekter builds its own low voltage distribution solutions and low voltage control cabinets, thus adding flexibility. Another positive comment was the description of the Albano Metro station project as a “solid and well executed version of a renovation project from the 1970s in the existing station!”
Harju Elekter is now continuing to develop and strengthen its organization for railbound traffic projects, also for projects in the energy and industrial sectors.
