New projects for a data center, a power station and a municipality

Harju Elekter’s latest crop of orders includes projects from northern, central and southern Sweden. Our extensive offering, which includes design/engineering, equipment and site preparation, opens up possibilities that make Harju Elekter an interesting partner for customers in a range of sectors.

Power supply for a data center in Boden

Offering an environmentally friendly cloud infrastructure, Hydro66 is one of Harju Elekter’s many loyal customers. The company chose Boden for its data center partly due to the availability of hydropower, a perfect climate for cooling the servers, and natural power grid redundancy. Hydro66 is currently expanding the data center and has ordered equipment, site preparation and cabling from Harju Elekter, with delivery in the autumn.

The order includes 24 kV, 630 A, 20 kA switchgear, with Arcteq relay protection and Modbus, 3 400 kVA Epoxi transformers, 5 000 A low voltage switchgear, plug-in with feed, rail ducts for the transformers, a low voltage DC system, and an indoor station for the medium voltage switchgear. As with many other Harju Elekter projects, project management, design/construction, FAT, relay testing, and installation support are included.

Primary station for Upplands Energi

Upplands Energi is a financial cooperative whose members are property and business owners within Upplands Energi’s power grid catchment area. The cooperative is now building a new 20/10 kV distribution station in Åby, north of Uppsala. The station will be commissioned in 2022.

The scope of supply includes a prefabricated structure with basement, mechanical ventilation and fire alarm, a 20 kV transformer connection to Vattenfall’s existing transformer, 24 kV, 12 kV, 1 250A, and 25 kA switchgear, relay protection and a zero point reactor. The order also includes low voltage switchgear and a SCADA system, as well as a 250 A local power distribution board with feed. Again, Harju Elekter will handle engineering, testing, FAT-SAT testing, site preparation, including blasting, and pipe and cable work, plus commissioning.

Power for heating plant in Halmstad

Halmstads Energi uses primarily industrial waste and waste heat to generate district heating in a smart, convenient and environmentally friendly way. In connection with upgrading and expansion, the facility needs a new power plant which will be supplied by Harju Elekter.

The scope of supply includes medium voltage switchgear, SIS, 12KV, 630 A, 25 kA, with relay protection, a 2 500 kVA transformer and a low voltage battery cabinet. The project also includes project management, design/engineering, FAT, relay testing and installation support.
