Decision to invest in Lithuania

Harju Elekter UAB in Lithuania, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Harju Elekter group in Estonia, is now embarking on Step 4 of the expansion of its production facility in Panevėžys in Lithuania. The building work is estimated to be completed in March next year. When complete, the office and production area will be 16,761 m2, nearly twice the size of the current area. The investment is in the region of EUR 6 million.

It is estimated that the expansion will enable a doubling of sales from the operation in Lithuania and increase the number of employees from 241 to 350.

Harju Elekter in Lithuania offers contract manufacture and load testing of liquid-cooled drive systems and switchgear for marine and industrial system builders. The products are certified according to DNV GL and RINA Manufacturing Survey Arrangements (MSA) and thus certificates can be issued for marine classification societies.
